Shy Oscar

Hey Fellow Fish Keepers,

I bought a Tiger Oscar about a week ago and i know that they need some adjustment time but this guy is being extremely shy. He is eating and comes out at night but he is afraid of me. About how long would you give an Oscar to adjust?

oh trust me, he'll get over it fast! Soon he'll stare at you everytime you go by the tank and beg for food. Give him a day or two.

my very first oscar hid for 3 freaking weeks but after that he never hid again...

Let him see that you are the source of the FOOD. I have 5 in a 240 that are a year old. When they were babies I think mine done this also. Very friendly and interactive fish. You will enjoy them.
