Any way to help coax the little guy out of hiding? He's not much smaller than my sen, and he is thicker than my rope, yet both of those are out and about and he just chills hidden behind wood all day. I want to make sure he is eating and all.

Turn lights down, take that piece of wood out. Honestly, just wait it out. all of my polys eventually come out. How long have you had him? how big is it? what are you feeding it?

I'm feeding him a mix of things, and he is new to this tank so perhaps I'll just wait it out. The piece of wood would be complicated to move, being that it's a planted tank.

take out the wood. Not needed IMO. My bichirs have no hiding spots but they chill happily. i used to have a few fake ornaments scattered everywhere. I bearly gor to see my bichirs. After i took them out, my bichirs were super active.
