So I just got two little thin bar dats not really sure what kind I'm using my phone so I can't upload any pics. Sorry well anyways these two little guys are extremely shy I haven't seen them in days I do check up on them just to make sure they are ok. But still not coming out is this normal? Or should I be worried they are about 2-3 inch and are alone in a 75 gallon tank and how well do these get with medium size frontosas?

from experience with my three NTTs its normal. Mine are 5-6" and still hide. try adding dithers or taking out your decor. i chose not to take out my decor but i did add (5) 4-6" clown loaches and (7) 2-3" silver dollars. Helps with the movement and encourages them to come out sometime.

just be patient. it will take a while but eventually they will get active. IMO its worth the wait.

+1

My Dats live with an 8" frontosa with no issues. Breeding behavior would probably cause chaos but my community works.

Thinbars are really shy in the beginning, probably the shyest of them all.

So last night I came home to find my larger ofthe two datnoids dead poor little guy :( so I threw te other one in my Frontosa tank and is doing excellent he's not shy in that tank and swimmin all around not getting picked on either yay!! I
Think I want another one lol
