I recently changed my senegal tank, it now has pure white sand with green grass(real) and a log hide for him, he is eating perfectly but i recently added 4 baby silver dollars, he still comes out and and is active. he just doesnt go up to the surface to eat anymore now that the silver dollars are there?

Actually its kind of rare when they surface feed.Bichirs are basicly bottom feeders and in the wild spend much of thier time grubbing about the substrate for food stuffs.I'm betting it just being cautious of the new tankmates for a bit-Anne
