Siam Red Master Discus

I bought 4 ea 2" Siam Red Master Discus from Somethingfishy.
The color in the picture looks like a beautiful deep red. (Hence the reason I purchased them)
Their current color is brown!
They are currently 3" and aren't showing any RED!
I asked them about their lack of color, and they responded back that these Discus would not show their color until they reach approx. 5"
Has anyone had experience with these fish or this dealer?

I wish you the best of luck with them but honestly I have heard nothing but bad things form somethingfishy. I'm no expert but that sounds like a made up name. no color til 5" ? most discus will show some of thier coloring at 3 or 4".

I love retailers made up names to make a fish seem more exotic and $$$$

I was gonna buy a flowerhorn from them and I don't know much about the different breeds so I asked a question and his response was basically "Are you retarded, can you read. Look at the picture." So I was screw that guy, you lost a customer.

I just bought one also. . . . he looks great (brown w/red blush on outside fins). . . just not EXACTLY like the picture! Kinda dissapointing. . . . they do say, however, the the color doesn't come out until they grow. It's the same deal with Angel Fish.
