Just curious how rare this is, I have not been able to find much information on them. I found this disfigured fish in my breeder tank about 3 months ago and it has been growing and developing "normally" from everything i can see. there is a conjoined mass on the belly of the female equip with its own set of fins that move, kinda creepy really. From everything i have gathered the conjoined twins don't normally live long at all and almost always die prematurely. I know this has nothing to do with monster fish ( Even though i was breeding them for feeders lol). Just thought it was kind of cool and definitely different, a great addition to my nano planted tank!!

I'll try to post pics when i can

I've heard of human twin fetuses in the womb that do this. One of them absorbs the other fetus and they become one fetus.

I used to breed mice for snakes. You get some weird genetic misfires with them, too.
Most got fed to various snakes at various sizes as soon as the anomaly was noticed. But, there were a few interesting ones I grew out inadvertently.
But nothing as wild as that fish!
