So about a few weeks ago in my lionfish died of an eye infection. I was wondering if the aquarium water was still ok to use or if I take out like 50% would that be better, or does it all need to be all replaced. He was the only fish in there. Also about 1/4 the water has evaporated and the salinity is about 1.041 I don’t know if that makes a difference on the survival of any bad bacteria.

Please be more specific a few weeks. How many days without a fish in the aquarium?

You probably don't have to remove the water but you will have to start cycle over. 35 days no food for the bacteria.
