recently i notice some parasites on my arowana and now i am noticing a white fungus/film thing on his gills and also on the head..the head looks like it is kind of deterioating...how can i heal this

Check your water parameters, increase the temp, add salt.
Doesnt sound good though, what kind of aro, what size tank, tankmates etc???

Do a 30%-40% water change. Wash clean your filter sponge. Raise your tank temp 84-86. Make sure your tank has plenty of dissolve oxygen (a good airpump and an airstone will do) Treat with liquid Mardel Maracyn Plus. You can buy it from Fish Warehouse in Westminster (Bolsa and Moran, or the street next to it - Just ask Ken or his guy for medicine to treat fungus on arowana and he'll know.) Get at least two bottles (it was 15-16 bux a bottle, but I'm not sure if the price is still the same.) Put the medicine full recommend dosage from the instruction printed on the back of the bottle. Remove all carbon in your tank and turn of UV light (if you have one) before you add medicine to the tank. UV light can break down the chemical and turns it into toxic. 3 days after you add medicine, do another 30%-40% water change, and add medicine at half recommend dosage. Repeat the 30%-40% and add medicine at half dosage every 3 days, until the symptom is completely gone. If you have a UV light, make sure don't turn it on until you do at least one 30%-40% water change without adding any medication. The medicine may stress your fish, made it look pale, and the barbels may be curl. Don't worry. Once the medicine is gone, the fish will be back as before. Once the problem is treated, do weekly 30%-40% water change, and wash clean your filter sponges everytime you do water change. With clean water, those wound will heal. It does take time to get rid of those scars, though. PM me if you have any other question. Good luck

Any chance we can see some pictures? In the meantime please just use the standard 40% water change, salt and temp increase to 86C.

well all i did was added salt and raise up the temp..

my aro is finally heal..i think it also got chlorine/ammonia burn.
