Sick bettta??

My friend's betta is failing because:

It lays over rocks on it's side

Refuses to eat pellets until they sink until they are soft and almost rotten

Floats almost on its back at the surface



Any ideas as to what's wrong with Wall-e or his tank conditions???

how many times does she change the water, what are the water paremeters,things like this are often caused by poor water quality

she says its a small container, changes the water every couple of weeks, adds in 2/3 new water and the rest is old. doesnt use water conditioner (AHHHH keep telling her to get some but she wont >< )

well thats the problem lol u cant change that much water and not use conditioner, and since its in a small bowl the water should be changed evrey 2-4 days do that and the fish will be alright

Actually in this area you can, it isn't the best idea, but it can be done. Pullman's water municipal comes from Moscow ID.
