Anyone know what this is? It’s eye went completely white it started out as like a small white spot then covered its entire eye. Now it’s spread to all my bichirs in 2 days what is it?

What’s ur ph?

I’ve seen this when there’s an ammonia and nitrite spike. Datnoids get this white eyes too when water goes awry. Test your water and the readings will tell u what’s goin on.

water change a minimum 50% every 2-3 days And add salt. Dose 3 tablespoon per 10 gallons (16 tbspn per 1 cup) Get those 40lb bags water softeners from a home improvement store. The all natural evaporated salt. it’s 5-6 bucks.

I’m not sure that’s the only test I’m out of all the other water parameters r good tho
I’d try and get that tested. Seems more like a water quality issue. Would do as sam has mentioned above.

I tested all the water tests except ph they were all fine so it wasn’t ammonia or nitrite or nitrate .... I did a 50% wc already and added salt yesterday

Something is going on with the water. Back in the day when u were keeping bichirs. There was this same issue. Likely culprit was a PH drop and your usage of prime made it worse.

This wasn’t what I had back in the day that was hemorrhagic septicemia. I checked all parameters again just now including ph I went and bought ph is 6 nitrates r perfect nitrites r perfect and ammonia was barely over perfect

Also here is a few more pics a couple of my fish have like white stuff coming out of there gills now as well. And u can see the circular fungus looking stuff around the eye
