My BP has started to show signs of illness.

The scales along his sides are turning white, just at the tips, I thought it was just fading, but it looks like the fish equivalent to dry skin. The tips of the scales also appear as if they are seperating from the fish itself, and the under belly of the fish appears bloated. I've heard of what they call "fish dropsy" with similar symptoms. The BP also has been acting more aggressive, and sometimes jittery (spelling).

All params in the water are fine, the other non-hybrid tankmates are doing quite well, and are very healthy, No Ick, No fungus, etc.

Is there something I can look for? Something I can do? I'm afraid the hybrid may be weak against something in the tank the others aren't affected by.

sounds like a fish dropsy but not sure , post some pics if u can and maybe the experts will help u !

It's progressively getting worse and the scales are popping up further. I now don't have much of a question what it is, now the question is, can I treat it?

If it is fatal, then roughly how long does the fish have left? What kind of a time frame is the usual for dropsy? If it is lethal, should I euthanize or let nature take its course?

try to see if he eats some peas thats good
