Well today I noticed my smallest Caribe that I picked up had hazey white eyes. So I treated the tank with Melafix ( THIS TREATSOpen sores,fin/tail rot, eye cloud, pop eye, body slime, moutn fungus and open body sores) and will continue with it for 7 days. After treatment I was noticing his color change, he is a darker color. I have been trying to see if it is something else, when I take my flashlight and shine it on him I can see somewhat of a spot not really difined but I can see it on the scales when the light hits it right (light color maybe poss. issue). It doesnt look like much right no but I do not want a fast development that can harm my fish. Please note that when I noticed this "cloudy eye" situation I took my net and somewhat handled my fish in the tank to see what other issue's he had. Why i just explained that is because the new affected area on the skin right where I handled him.

In the picture listed if you look towardws the middle of his side and then follw back you should see what I am talking about on his side.

I've got a pbass with the same thing... someone please help... i've been dosing with melafix for a few days and 50% wc's but its not getting better...

Shelton, How long has the tank been set up? Piranhas rarely get sick. Do a test of your water, Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate also ph, but ph is not a big factor unless it is off the scale. I don't think your tanks are cycled. Post them here. Normaly when a tank is not cycled and the Ammo is high, the first thing that gets affected on piranhas are there eyes.
If you need advice call me and i will help you out, Also if you need some bacteria, I will send you some from my tanks.
Let me know,
Pedro
