ok so my demasoni (my best looking one ) is sick ...his color fadded dramatically his lips turned really white ...he doesnt swim around like he use to .. im sure my water parameters are fine since my othe 9 cichlids are fine ....i was about to go to sleep and i saw him floatin side ways i thought he was gone then i touched him and he swam quickly ... what wrong ?? i fed my chlids ghost shrimp like 5 days agp for the first time could that have something to do with it ???

prfect advice guys, couldnt say it better, and if bloat, treat quickly... its a pretty bad sickness
Never assume the water is ok without testing the parameters. I lost ten fish that way in two days. He could just be the first one to succumb to something wrong in the water. Get it tested ASAP. He could've possibly bloated, or if he's lying on his side, or leaning, perhaps a bacterial infection? That's what my bf's oscar had...treatments pretty simple, though I forgot the product name... Sounds more like he's bloated though. Talk to your LFS owner, or maybe bring him up there to show them, they can help you more since they can see the fish. Pictures never show as much as a good examination do.
