I have a sick clown loach. It has a curved back and it's tail fin is white at the edges and looks to be ripped, it also looks to be partially paralyzed and not swimming too good. Any ideas on what could be going on with it? I lost another one of my clown loaches to the same thing early last week.

They are in a 65 gallon tank with one gold severum, 1 bn pleco, 1 rubber lip pleco and 6 black skirt tetra's. All fish except tetras are small and no where near full size.

Water parameters are
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 10
PH - 6.5-7

Will get some pics as soon as I can.

Any chance of getting a picture?

Here is the best I can do right now. On the other side the tail fin has white along the ends. It goes between swimming fine and not being able to swim at all. When it can't swim only the top part of the tail fin moves.

Get some Methylene Blue. Give it a 30 min bath in a bucket of tank water use one teaspoon of MB per 5 gallons of water. This looks like a swim bladder issue. Meth blue is a very good treatment for it and is safe for loaches.

Thanks. Unfortunately the fish has died, but I will keep this in mind for the next one that gets it. I am guessing another one will get it as 2 fish have died from what seems like the same thing in the last couple of weeks.

Where do I get the Methylene Blue?

And any idea what causes this?
