Everything was really going fine, I have treated the tank with salt first two days and started raising temperature on the second day and made it all the way to 85F. The tank stayed at 85F for two days and I have lowered it to 82F today.
The fish was shy and hiding most of the time in the plants, non of my fish bothered it at all. I was reading about all the diet problems people have with these guys at the beginning and with time train them to eat whatever. Since he is sick now I decided to feed him live fish until he gets better and went and bought him some guppies. He ate just fine and was hanging out..
Over these few days the swelling around the wound started to go down and you can now tell how deep the actual wound is and how bad it is. I thought he was getting better. He started swimming today, you know when the fish is dieing he will float upsite down.. and lay on the side in the tank, etc.. I have tried adding a bit more salt today without much luck.
I just fed the fish and was watching him for a few minutes as he is floating on his side on the bottom of the tank. I do not think he will make it through the night. I give up on him. If he does die by tomorrow morning will take him out and take some seriously upclose pictures of how bad the wounds are.
