hey. i've asked a couple of questions about discus on here already. if you were in either of the threads, you probably know that there is one at my lfs that i'm interested in. i was hoping to get him sometime in a few months if he was still there. he's in a tank with a few smallish cichlids, no other discus. anyway, that tank is now under treatment. the discus appears to have a slightly whitish slime on his eyes. not fuzzy, it just kinda looks slimey... they say they have the tank on meds. i really like him, and i want him to be alright. is there anything i might be able to do for him better than what the pet store is doing if i were to get them to sell him to me [obviously there would not be a guarantee on him]. i really like him, and while i don't have an established discus tank yet, i could keep him in a 20g with a few community fish until i were to get a much larger tank to set up with four or five discus...is there anything i can do? i just don't want him to die..
thanks for the help,
jessica
edit:: i don't know how often they do water changes and everything for him, as they are a "pet" store rather than a fish store [i sometimes get some supplies at the pet store, where i usually get any live animals at my locally owned fs]. he is probably about three to four inches..
