your gonna need to post more info, tank size, number and sizes of fish, current filtration, water change schedule, current water params including ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, pH, water general hardness, carbonate hardness, what you feed and how often. And of course some pics could be helpful too.

There is just to many different things that your fish could be stressed from so the more info you provide, the better the chance on of the members here can pinpoint what is wrong.

I know your problem. Your older discus stock are sick because you didnt QT your new fish. Your new fish has something your older stock didnt. Are they sliming up any? How is their breathing? How fast did this happen? If it happened within a day or two then most likely it is parasites. If it happened over the course of say 4-7 days then it may be bacterial. Either way, increase your water changes to as often as possible (no such thing as too many water changes), add in 1/2 cup salt per 10 gallons (replace what is taken out with water changes), and bump the heat up to the upper 80's/low 90's. If no improvement after a few days, let me know and we'll go from there.

Oh and pics tell a thousand words....especially with sick fish.

It looks ( I am not saying it is ) something that got to thousands of discus here in europe 3 or 4 years ago..a kind of plague, with them geting very dark and sliming all over...

I managed to save some of mine, at that time, with Potassium Permanganate , but it was a hassle....

load some pixs, please....
