Sick discus

I had some sick discus treated the tank with prazi pro all are good but one. He sits in the top corner with his nose down. he looks fine just wondering if he would have something internal that would cause this and what should i try. Water tests are all good temp is 85 ph 7.5. Any help or suggestions would be nice thanks.:(
 
he is not eating really well a little nibble hear and there i have been trying to see his poop with no success. he is starting to get skinny looking to.
 
I suggest you start 7 day, 100% Metronidazole treatment. 1/4 teaspoon per 40 gals. daily, 50% water change before each treatment. Temp. 86 to 88, lights out.
 
ok thanks i will try that . Are you thinking internal parasite then. I think i can only get the tabs in pure form around hear. Is this ok.

Wow, haven't used tabs in years. Let's see, I would use 400 to 500 mg per 10 gals. Those tabs are a nightmare to dissolve. I would use very hot water in a jar to dissolve them, or use pure RO. For whatever reason, they seem to dissolve better in RO. With tabs, I would raise temp. to 92 F, and treat for 3 days, with 50% water changes in between, leave the temp. at 92 a couple days after treatment, then slowly lower it over a couple days. In the future, you can get pure powder from www.JEHMCO.com . It's much cheaper.
 
I would also try to feed the discus with tiny bit of food on the second day of the treatment to see if it will eat, if not siphon it out in 30 minutes as not to foul the water. If discus does not eat on day 3 you may want to extend the treatments to 5 days.
