Please help! I have an EBJD that is about 2.5" long with popeye. I have treated him with Maracyn-Two exactly as the manufacturer recommends and it hasn't helped at all. What do I do next? Is there something that works better? Thanks for the help.

I have successfully treated popeye using Maracyn Plus . . .
if you decide to try this, make sure you do a water change first, and maybe run some carbon in the filter to remove any lingering traces of Maracyn-2 from your tank . . .

Thanks, I have some Plus, but it doesn't list popeye specifically so I was a little hesitant to try it, but if it worked for you, I will try it.
edit, he is in a hospital tank, so running carbon through the ac and a large water change are definitely on the agenda before I switch meds. Thanks.

You could do an Epsom salt bath to releave some of the pressure from the fulid behind the eye in the mean time while you get the correct medication. Then before treatment in the main tank do a 50% wc and treat with Tetracycline. This should cure it, however I would do this ASAP before a secondary fungal infection develpos. Should this occur you'll be fighting on two fronts.
