i currently have a 29 gallon biocube with 5 platys, 3 neon cardinals, black knife fish, and an elephant nose fish. my tank was doing very well, and then all of a sudden the elephant nose had a white slim covering part of her body. so i did my reading and assumed it was ick or protozoan parasites. so i went to the lfs and got some aquari-sol. used the treatment and raised the heat and took out filter. white slim went away within a couple days, but the platys still seemed like they had some white spots on their scales. Week went by and i did a water change. and the next morning the white slim was back. so i decided to put more aquari-sol and its day 2 and it looks better. im trying to figure out what is triggering these outbreaks.

i use the following products:
Aqueon Plant Food
API StressZyme+
API Stresscoat
API Co2 Booster
API Salt

Could it be from those products? my water? or did the parasite never even go away?
Heres a picture of the en fish. the knife fish has the same thing but not quite as bad.
