Today I found my Festea with what looked like to me milky secreations coming out of her face. I ask a friend and he said 'fungal' before I pull her out of the big tank to treat her I want to know what it is, so I know what to treat for. I did a 50% water change today and added salt, and raised the temp.

I would move her asap and treat with salt and melafix.Make sure you have good aireation on the tank and lower temp to 75 gradually.Looks to be Columnaris. I am not a 100% sure of the diagnoses but i just treated some fish that looked to have the same thing as Yours and this worked.Fungus meds did not work. Maybe somone with more knowledge on disease will chime in. GL

Thanks but after reading the artical on the Columnaris, says " listless, lack of appetite, and fighting" My Festea eats, I don't know what listless is and she dose fight, but she is a Festea.
