Hi,
My flower horn is sick and I like you to help me understand what wrong with him.

He is eating only food that sinking. He won't eat food that floats, probably because its hard to him to swim up.. He sits at the bottom of the Aquarium all day, and occasionally he goes to short swimming and then go back to the bottom.
His colors became darker. And his head has shrunk.
And he look sad :/
Any one have an idea what should I do?

This is How he look today:

Sounds like swim bladder disease. I've never delt with it so sorry I don't know how to properly treat

I've used the medicine ״sera bactipur direct" In the form of intensive use - bath (6 litter water with 2 pills for 40 minutes).

Besides, I continued with the treatment of the metrogyl and I continue to feed it with a mix that I made for him.

The fish is getting stronger every minute. It no longer sits on the bottom, but it hovers at a height of 3-4 cm and today he start swimming on the top of the tank. The red color start getting stronger and the swelling is almost completely gone.

The fish is still very weak and probably still not fully recovered. It will take time before a full recovery but certainly can see a significant improvement in his condition.

I would not kid yourself into thinking the treatment of this fish is almost over because it's clearly not. Your issue could be a swim bladder but unless you saw him having issues staying right side up than I really doubt it. The pics from his better days is also way off as he was clearly sick in that pic as well. Your water looks horrible need to keep it cleaner. Most meds reduce the O2 in water and while I am sure that is most likely a hold set up for meds you have him in, it's very small. The sponge filter you have in there is not even putting out bubbles. You need to get some O2 in the water to help him stop breathing so hard. Personally I would say the fish probably has some type of internal infection or parasite which some FH can become prone too especially after shipping or exposure to crappy water conditions as these weaken their immune systems. If it were my fish I would try the (Product Clear out on him) and see the results after a weeks of treatment. Once ready to feed stay with easy breakdown food for a couple weeks like blood worms, chopped market shrimp or something like that before getting back to pellets. If you have never used an aggressive treatment options as I have purposed for you there are topics on the product and Q&A related to it's use on the Flowerhorn Forums:
www.flowerhornrusforum.com

you can get the product here:

the bottle will last you a long time

Good luck with the fish man he needs some serious help still and clean that sponge filter yo :)

Hi,
The sponge filter just was there before. In the tank there is a biologic filter and a power head.
The tank is 50 liters and I don't think it's too small because this is only for the treatment. The regular home for him is 600 liter tank.
The water is ok and all the parameter are great.
The yellow water in the pic is because of the med and this is only the tank for the med bath.
I know I have more work to do and I hope it will be better soon so I can move it back to the 600L tank.
Thank you friend :)

Well it does not look like you have any air or water flow in the holding area at least from pics I would better whatever you have going on in there. Try a internal parasite med man think it's your problem not a swim bladder. I recommended the Clear Product because of it's application which is about as direct as it comes. There are other types of meds for this but it's not as effective as you putting a syringe in the fish's mouth and injecting the meds straight into the stomach of the fish. It takes a strong willing hobbyist to deal with the application as obviously it's not for the faint of heart. However let me tell you it's a no BS product and works extremely effective. Good luck man.

I've already used the med "bactipur direct" that is also for internal parasite.
Look like it did a good job.

I don't think that the problem is swim bladder because as you can see in the last video, the fish start swimming again :)
Which internal parasite med are you offer me to use?
Thanks.
