ok well i got him likr 4days ago and i havent seen him eat just blood worms every so often and seems very skittish! runs and hide when i come up to the tank hes only about 2 1/2 inches i got him from a lady that had a 8in dempsey beating him harshly hes missing lots of scales and ripped fins but hes healing now:(
 
He's going to need some time to settle in and realize you aren't going to beat him up either. He's been picked on awhile, he needs to chill out and regain his confidence and then you'll be the one getting nipped at when cleaning the tank.
 
Yea I sure do I think that's why he's healing pretty fast..we'll I hope he ends up ok and I also noticed he doesn't have red eyes is that bad? There normal yellow like a jack ill post some pick maybne today if he's not hiding today lol
