So I came home after being away for 3 days to this. The vent/ anus is red and swollen. I have had health issuse in the past and treated with API general cure for hex/ white poop. Any ideas would be much appreciated

The pictures are really blurry. Do you see anything sticking out of the anus? Any red looking threads?

lll catch him when i get off work. No nothing protruding out, it like a bubble red in color
 
Hmmm... any new additions in the past couple months?

I've only known parasites to cause anal swelling and redness. A strong deformed is needed to get rid of those. I can't spell it to save my life. Camallanus?

Yes i have added a femal FH but treated the entire tank with api when she was added it like a blister and water logged
 
I think I'd just keep an eye on it as long as the fish is able to poop still. Just keep the water as clean as possible. Maybe someone that has seen this before can chime in.
 
This guy gets good food a great filteration system to include a sump and ac 110. He also gets two 35% wc weekly, the water is always good. Ive also had probably over 10 years on and off experience with cichlids and i have never seen this before. Im not sure what it is or how to treat it.
