I have a green terror that has had the dreaded white stringy poop. I treated my tank twice with parasite clear (the dissolving tablets) and saw absolutely no difference. He is still not eating and it has been this way for about 2 weeks now. I don't know what else to do. Hoping someone on here can help!!

P.S. Water parameters are all fine. Weekly 25% water changes. 55G tank., GT is about 4" and Ive had it about 2 months. Really want him to pull through

Try clout, that is great stuff and should get rid of the parasite? Is he flashing? (rubbing on rocks) Is there anything else in the tank with him?

uh oh! don't want to make you lose all hope but my FH never recovered from that. It is a kind of internal bacteria/parasite so try to find a number of different treatments and try them all. I'm not sure if it can be treated once the parasite has reached a certain stage, but there's nothing to lose in trying. How big is your GT and what are you currently trying to feed? Pellets can be quite hard on the stomach so try feeding things like bloodworm and shrimp. How are your other fish, well?

Since your gt is not eating I would force feed by hand. Same thing happen to my pacman cat, he wouldn't eat. I qt him and used tetracycilin and force feed him for about 3 weeks cause he wouldn't eat nothing and now he is good. I would force feed you gt small feeder fish, but kill the feeder first before you put it in his mouth. Make sure you qt him and do this untill he eats and gets better on his own. GL
