So my Alfa Green Terror male isn't doing too well. Water parameters are fine tested weekly. Tank is a 300 gallon tank with 7 adult GTs all 10-12", 2 super red sevs 8-9 inches and one flagtail 10". Only food I feed is Massivore and they won't eat anything else at all. I'm 100% sure my sick GT has swim bladder issues. He's swimming around in a vertical headstand position and can't seem to level out properly. I have an empty 55 gallon that I can put him in to treat separately but not sure what to do. I'm also starting to wonder if massivore has too much protien for some fish for long term use. This is the 5th fish in the last 3-4 years that eventually had digestive issues feeding massivore long term. any advice will be greatly appreciated. Also anything "home remedies" that I can use immediately will be best. My lfs doesn't carry much so I'll have to order online which may take days that this fish may not have.

Pic please
kno4te kno4te .
how much protein is in the Massivore. A lot of fish food has way more protein than the fish actually needs. Some fish need more protein than others but too much can give it a bad time. I say transfer to the 55 for now and treat with salt. I’ll let the doc take it from here.

I’d separate and dose some pure epsom salt at 1-3tbsp per 5g. Give it some time and see if that’s all it needs to get it right. May need to add some pellets with foliage in it to help with digestion.

GT poo is much longer than a piscivore poo like pbass and pikes. This tells me their digestive track is made to handle food lower in protein. My former GT would get stringy white poo when fed the higher protein pellets too often. Once I switched him to New Life Spectrum Algaemax pellets, he no longer had the white stringy poo. i also reduce feeding to at least every other day or every 3 days

I would move all those fish over to NLS Algaemax mini-wafers size since it has 4 types of algae, spirulina, and kelp.
