One of my kribs is just laying on the ground on its side.... The only visible Think i can see is just his coloring, Its really light. NO hardly swims around for food and when food get close to him he spites it out. o.o? I have no idea what is wrong. No body stuff at all so i added salt to the tank and put the heat up to 80's.

U know what.... i just think his lazy... O.o I looked in the tank today and saw him all colored up going after food... then he just went into lazy mode and just layed down. o.o im feeding him tetracichlid flakes... i feed it to all my cichlids that like it. So i have no idea.

Should a krib be FAT? Its a male and i can see him.... His really skinny. So tomorrow im going to pick up some new food for him and a little 10g tank to house him and see if i can get him to eat again ;\ Oh and for some reason, He hides like under a spot that he can only slide into... that what puzzles me.

I notice that behavior when my kribs are spawning. The female doesn't leave the cave and barracades herself in. She may or may not leave a gap in the barracade only big enough for the male to enter or exit.

Male kribs shouldn't be fat, females can get quite so, but males tend to stay lean. Although they shouldn't be skinny either.

Healthy kribs are active, inquisitive fish but aren't fans of too much attention. While they tend to occupy the lower levels of the tank it's not usual for them to just sit on the substrate.

IME kribs can be sensitive to change. Some adjust quickly, some adjust after a while. Some never adjust and die after troubling their new keeper for days or weeks.
Keep a close eye on your fish. Make sure it eats. It might have some sort of internal problem if the fish looks like it wants to eat but can't. Some kribs can be picky. In such cases live-foods are a great way to get them to eat.

Ya its kinda odd. i know his not barricading him self cuz ive checked the rocks and couldnt find any eggs He was eating the same food for the first few weeks in my tank. This male krib was active the first month and kinda died down... im gona pic up more food diff types for them. Thank ill feel in if anything changes.
