I noticed her fins seemed ragged a few weeks ago, but I’ve had her for 4 years and she’s been easy care. Other fish in 30g tank are two Cory catfish and an albino pleco, all seem fine and normal. Use Melafix? Please help!

I’d try a round of erythromycin or triple sulfa. Make sure you check the water quality.

Ok, thanks. I live on an island that has no fish supply store so will see what our home/hardware store has tomorrow. Would i put her in a quarantine tank or dose the whole tank? Other fish seem fine for now

whole tank is ok..you can do a q tank if you want....i'd leave her were she is if she's your prized fish...

Thanks all! I did a water change and will do a small one every day to lower the pH. Tank was quite alkaline. And i got some bloodworms to feed her. Other than pH and hard (using more conditioner now), water is fine. No ammonia, nitrates, nitrites. Considering Melafix before i dose the whole tank with stronger medicine

There's a product called "tropical fishkeeper" that's a bit better than melafix (imo)... But either could help
