well nobody seems to look at my thread in the sick fish forum, so i'll try for a bigger audience.

my leopard ctenopoma is sick. he is having trouble swimming (like he will tip over and not really have control), his fins are clamped, and i noticed some white spots (99.9% sure its not ick) on him.

What should i med him with? i already have in in quarantine with salt running in the water. What med do you think might be able to cure him? all i have is coppersafe, but i can get about anything you think might work.

Did you learn anything from this? Hopefully its death wasnt a total waste. Any ideas on what the problem was and what you would do if it happened again?

Your post has made me aware there is a disease section....

well i think the only good was that i made people realize about the disease section......still a mystery disease, but i figure i'll look up what i could have been (guess i shoulda done that before)

sounds like ich? :uhoh:

here are some advice I give to EVERYONE when treating ANYTHING (known or unknow):

dump in salt, 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of water.

raise temperature, 84-86F.

stop feeding.

check your water.

disclaimer: not a miracle cure or prevention. results may vary. side effects may include death. :p
