After getting beated up by tank-mates, moved my 10'' barramundi to a 20g quarantine. Recently, he refused food and has cloudy eyes (looks like cottony stuff) and a light color. Sounded like saprolengia to me...let me know if you agree or not.

Will Jungle Cure help, if so? I added some to the tank already ;)

No pics, sorry. :)

Thanks,
Art

Not fungus. Cloudy eyes is a result of injuries or poor water conditions. What are your water parameters? Just do daily water changes until it recovers.

You did mention that fish was beaten by its tankmates. Injury is often the cause of cloudy eyes.

yes, but the cloudy eyes came later, after he was in the tank for a few days...

anyways, doing water changes, and treating. thanks for your help :)

G,day bud. I have 4 barra all up in tanks at home two of them are still together, I had to split my to bigger ones up due to this very same thing. My two smaller ones that are still together do the same thing. I found that if you keep water quailty as you have it, just make sure it isnt to soft for him or he wont het any better. Stop water changes and put temp up to 28 29 degrees cel and leave hime for about 3 to 4 days like that and he should fix himself up mate. Maybe try some good quality water conditioner like prime by seachem that helps with all nasties. There very hardy fish once they are at the size of yours, great pets. Good luck Damo.
