looks good , but yes I am kinda fed up with every other thread here being FESTAE this or RTM that. I´ve never owned either so maybe I just don´t get the fuss, but I do LOVE the look of a bright female festae!

NeveR is the best word

never!!

wow. really nice

They look great Ed. The SD's seem to be working great with them. I think I might try some with my Istlanum pair.

@stratoquarius: Get sum!
@Animal Guy: Amen! You still have yours?
@Nemesis: Yea try it. Your islantum are at a great size to introduce them too.
@oriqua: You know!!! They're Alaskan. Where the freshwaterpredators live.:D
They came to Ira in NY almost exactly 1 yr ago at .5"..... From Alaska..... To NY..... In January.....
Ira did an extraordinary grow out on these guys and they thrived. Then in sept i dropped by Ira's and walked out with two festae, hoping to get a pair. Good beginnings all round.

Sick of Festae yet? Of course not, especially Festae that look like these. You definitely have some keepers, Ed. Those SDs are huge! I always had trouble feeding my other fish with SDs in the tank. The SDs are so greedy and quick that they would eat most of the food before the others had a chance. I do think they make excellent Dithers though. I might give them a try with some other large cichlids later.

Awesome job Ed! They look great! Now I wish I would have held on to a couple of this line... But its really nice to see updates from the fish I've sold. Keep up the good work
