So I just did a water change in my African cichlid tank, and soon noticed my Metriaclima estherae acting strange. I then saw what could be either pebbles or eggs in his mouth. He is acting all jittery and is moving his gills rapidly. It looks like mouth brooder behavior but I am not sure. Could some one figure this out for me please. Here is a video of his behavior:

The picture isn't working, but it sounds like a holding female to me.

Yeah, looks like a buccal pouch full of eggs

Is this a possible male/female/mate of the same species? I think the current brooder is the dominant male in the tank, so I doubt he is female.

Safe to say the one holding the eggs is the female and the one swimming around otherwise would be the male good luck on the fry. If they aren't holding eggs then I have no clue I would vent them to make sure, but if she is holding eggs don't vent as she will probably spit her eggs

Most likely, but just because it's dominant doesn't necessarily mean it's a male, two of the bosses in my tank are females.
