Tank size: 40g ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 15 pH 7.4 temp 81 substrate is play sand with some medium gravel and plant substrate on top. And several live plants.
One of the fry from my first jag spawn has been exhibiting strange behavior for a while. It's the smallest of the 5 that survived relocation from the main tank after being free swimming for 2 weeks. As is grown it seems to have some sort of problem swimming horizontally or floating/swimming stationary in a horizontal position. In fact it spends most of its time laying on the bottom substrate. It can swim but it's always in a more or less 45 degree angle head up. It eats but not as vigorously as the other 4 so it's always long and lean. Some of its siblings will chase it from the food occasionally and while it can move rather quickly it appears to tire quickly too. I did notice once a long (1cm) reddish tube hanging from its anal opening but it wasn't bright red and appeared to fall off. I have been feeding them a combination of crushed omega flakes, crushed massivore, crushed NLS and since they've grown over 1" frozen brine shrimp.
Could this be from an injury received when siphoned out from the main tank? Most were netted because I needed a larger diameter siphon tube. The Python didn't work so well. Or is this some kind of disease or parasite?
