I know I am supposed to start off posting by introducing myself but I am having a real problem with my 4" ornate polypterus. I'm hoping some more experienced people here can help me figure out what is wrong. Ok for starters tank is 90 gal, checked stats and all are OK. Tankmates are 5 clown loachs, a synodontis euruptus, 3 baby red headed severums, a tank raised 5" senegalus bichir, 7 congo tetras, and some angels. No new fish have been introduced since I bought the ornate 3.5 months ago. I also bought three of the clown loachs at the same time. I am now having a problem with "skinny disease?" in the clowns. I was told to get some Flubendazole to treat my tank but I'm having trouble finding it. I'm going to a vet today who has fish and hoping she can help me out. Anyway, back to my ornate. I noticed a few days ago that he was looking pale but I didnt think much of it then. I have a 5 month old baby so the fish are not exactly the top of my list of priorities right now. Today I noticed him hanging near the top which he never does he is always at the bottom. His scales look all puffy and there are red specks on him. The angels are pecking at him as well. I have no idea what to do for him. I have a ten gal QT i can set up for him. Any ideas on what could be wrong? I can go to the fish shop tonight and pick up meds I just don't have a clue what is wrong? If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. I love this guy and I don't want to lose him.
