ok, he has been swimming alot and looks like he doesnt have bloat but when he swims back to bottom he sometimes lets his anal fin float up. he is washed out and has tints of red and glossed over eyes, looks if a snake to be shedding. all PPMs are good nitrate was 25 ppm. I have a airstone, AC110, and Fx6 for filtration. no one really bothers him except OScar may steal food from him. His feeding staple is massavore, then he gets silversides, blood worms, earthworms, tilapia and he does still an algae wafer from the pleco occasionally . oh 50% wc weekly. as of today I was gonna qt but my my 20 long has a leak, found out the hard way, so I half dosed the tank with pima and mela, I am out of AQ and will get some, also have Kanaflex on the way, all the FB pages I frequent say that is good, best pic I could get since he has been moving lately

PS.. I did through a super worm in his tank 4 days ago, something ate it, Ornate or Oscar as it was gone an hour later, doubt that is anything

I'd increase the WCs to twice a week and do full dose of mela and Pima... also salt like I had suggested in the thread under polypterus if your plan doesn't seem to be effecting it

yea I will up the dosage of the mela and add salt. also increase WC, i mean i just wish I knew what caused it, I will feel really bad if my lack of WC is the reason. I though my regime was good

Give it time and good clean water, has it been eating?

Although I rarely see my own ornate eat haha its just shy I guess

Can you post your water perameters?

Do you have Ph and hardness?

The numbers I ask for are used to recommend the correct med for your water. Some are better/safer than others in certain conditions. What's the Ph?
