My oscar started developing these white marks all around his body. About 20 or more on both sides. They look like translucent scales. I do not have my tank parameters incase someone asks. But last I checked all the levels were fine. Just did a 30 percent water change yesterday and I always include salt. Please let me know if you recognize these markings. Is this from fighting? Although I have seen no aggression between him and the other fish. Or is this a fungus. I have no clue and im worried. A picture is attached, sorry its not the best quality.

The marks look like scrapes to me. What are the tank mates?

a Jag half his size and a Midas the same size. I never see them fighting, but I guy at the fish store said it could be happening only at night. Would it be possible for him to get this many nics, around 10 ea side, over a 3 day period?

Very easily possible

can you also post a full tank shot, to show items in his tank. the other fish could be frightening him into scraping himself against things when he flees any intimidation. with the tank dimensions, plz.
that's what those marks seem like, at first glance.

Those are just bites, somthing tells me your midas is the culpret. My o spars with my jag and gets cuts like this all the time. He should be better in a week. If it doesn't get better add a little salt and it should be fixed in no time.

Ok my tank is 5 foot by 2 ft high by 1.5 deep. there are some rocks that he could have done it. I just don't want him to continue getting these until he gets sick and dies. I feel like I would have seen some aggression between them during the day expecially during both feeding times. But I shouldn't fool myself into believing what I want thats why im asking your guys opinions.

I had both jags and red devil/Midas/midevil kill things or beat them to the point of near death over night and only at night. Watch and observe

Ok will definitely will do. Heres my tank layout for all who are interested. The rock on the right is a little bumpy and real rock. Item in the middle and left are plastic. Background is foam. Thanks guys!
