In my pleco tank my panaques are suddenly losing a lot of weight. Not eating and generally just looking lethargic. All my other plecos are doing fine. Eating and generally being fat and healthy. I did multiple water changes and did all the necessary procedures when dealing with sick fish. But nothing. Im starting to get worried. I dont know which medicine to use for them. All my panaque look fine no tail rot, no white spots. Theyre just skinny and very lethargic. Please help :(.

Have you noticed any white stringy poo?

Dose levamisole to the tank and feed some metronidazole with food if it’s eating.

As with others, my first thought would be internal parasites. If that’s not the case, my next thought would be not enough food available.

What kind of food have you been offering?
How long have you had the panaques?
How big are they?

Might need to try other food. Mine really go for watermelon rind, honeydew rind, sweet potato, broccoli, bell pepper and carrots. No need to blanch, just use a fork to weigh them down.
