I have 2 5" peacock bass and just today 1 has been lying on the bottom and its stomach is big and lumpy(almost like its bloated). It did eat this morning bloodworms and was acting fine. Any help would be great.

Try feeding him shelled peas or lace his favorite food with garlic. If it's parasites, that'll help push it through. Good luck.

yup.. garlic and some meds for internal parasites! maybe some of the knowledgeable cichla guys could chime in on a brand that is good for cichla? Anything I recommend will likely not exist on your continent..

well the lumps in the stomach were rocks I managed to get him to spit them out by push them towards his head not doing very well though.Thanx for your replys. I don't know why it would eat rocks I feed them well.

Poor guy, didn't make it. It's stomach was full of rocks?? Weird, anyone know where I could get a couple more the other one is doing awesome!! But he'll need a tank mate.

That sucks. Maybe it was in accident. I dont think rocks taste that good.
