the present occupants moved in 2 months ago
occupants 3 african butterfly fish 2.5 inches each
1 polyterus endlicherri bought at 1.5 inches hes is now 5 inches
1 black ghost knife 4inches
fish were placed in this tank so i could make sure all were eating before moving to the 150 suggested by wetwebmedia
no live plants plastic floating plants and pvc tubes for hides
using fluval 304 and heater
last water change was last night 25% standardly i do 25% each week with vacuuming
i feed nightly i rotate among flake food, floating carnivore pelletts, for the top feeders, i use sinking carnivore pellets for the bottom dwellers and once a week or so i feed blood worms or earthworms.
in the past week 2 of the butterfly fish died. both were a surprise as they seemed perfectly normal prior to this.
this morning i found the polypterus to have a red coloration to his back. picture is attached.
any ideas what is going on?
i have 7 other tanks running all seen fine.
