I thought they will eat it, but they don't...

there is some red thingy spot on their skin.

What are your parameters? How many reds? What size tank? Temp? Filter? Is the tank cycled? How big are your reds?

You sure about one day? And not a few, nows the time to be honest so we can help. How did the guppy die? If it was rotten forwhatever reason it may have had parasites or desease which is what ur noticing on the skin. Daily 50% water changes with stress coat is strongly suggested!! Also cut lites off, turn heater up to 80° add 1 tablespoon of rock salt not table salt to each 10gallons of water. This should stop the spread of whatever it is and hopefully with enough daily water changes u mite save em.

Never feed any fish or animal dead or deseased fish, remember that bad bacteria thrives in dead or decaying animals! I have 5 red bellys and i feed em pellets and fresh talapia. If u feed messy food ur water will be sewer quality.

Show us a pic of ur setup or atleast tell us what ya got!

Goodluck

there are 4 rbps , size tank around 20L, temperature around 25 celcius, I use power filter, and yes the tank is cycled. around 7cm.

it just died and I left it for 1 day, I thought they would eat it.
I think the temp isn't the problem, it suits pretty good here bcause I live in tropical country.
they died really fast, I had added some salt to the tank.
I feed them sometimes with tubifex worm , and some ghost shrimps.

I'm giving up for piranhas, probably pretty hard for a newbie like me..
now im keeping polypterus palmas (the albino one) and some eels, combined together, they seem pretty good.

20L???
Thats why they died my friend. Minimum of 55gallons and a suggested 20g/piranha!

Lesson learned! Also look on classifieds for killer deals on big tanks!

You should start thinking about purchasing a 75 gallon if you want your piranhas to be healthy and not die. Less space causes more stress and aggression among piranhas.

Esp since rbp are the dirtiest fish, and they get even worse as they get bigger! Remember X2 filtration/space
