I bought my reed fish about 4 days ago and I havent been able to get it to eat. I called the LFS and they said it was just because it was stressed and not used to its new environment. But when I woke up this morning it was floating at the side of the aquarium, I thought it was dead so i poked it n it swam away. Then i came back later and it was there again. It cant be a swimbladder infection right? Reedfish dont have swimbladders. Does anybody have any ideas?

What are your water parameters? Provide us more information. The more, the better we can help.

Ive him in a 55 gallon temporarily. The water is 24-25 degrees celcius, and pH 6-7. Im not sure about the hardness. But It just seems like there is air trapped in its stomach or something, cause if its not hiding under something hell just kinda float to the top unless he does somethin about it. and then when he swims around, his hind part will be elevated a bit. There must be some gas trapped in there somewhere. I dont know what to do though.

False alarm!
woke up this morning and he was eating fine and shows know floaty symptoms!
Im happy again...
