Sick Senegal? Maybe?

I saw this bichir at a LFS the other day, he had just gotten in the day before. He just looks so slender, more like a ropefish, than any other bichir I have ever seen. He is about 10 inches long, being housed with 2 larger koi
Also, I don't have a pic, but his finlets were extremely short.

Is there something wrong with him?

He looks ok to me. He looks slim because he is small. my small senegalus is slim while my larger 6" one is much thicker and he didnt start putting on weight until he started to settle in my tank even tho he was eating, once he is in a stable tank for awhile he will start to get thicker

I wouldn't consider a 10in Senegal small, but you are probably right that he just needs to settle into a final location.
