I have a toad that my boys caught in the yard. We've had him since Aug 2011, and this week he became lethargic and just wants to bury himself. He hasn't been in the water at all this week and won't eat the crickets we put in. My thought is, although we give him filtered water, there still may be chlorine in it and maybe we are slowly poisoning him. Can they recover from this? It's not too hot or cold in the room, yet he wants to hibernate. Any thoughts? He had two buddies that both died after similar actions.
