My TSN is not eating, and his barbels are all freyed and broken off, other than that no other physical marks, fins are fine what could this be? any medication that would help?

What are your water parameters? Tank size and tankmates? What do you feed? What substrate do you use?

Tankmate is an arowana, nitrates are between 40-60ppm other params are fine i use pool filter sand for gravel

You need to do more water changes to keep the nitrate as low as 20. Do daily until the barbels recover. After that, do more water changes than the previous schedule.

Keep a close eye on it and let us know if any thing eles is wrong but i think the water changes will make a big diffrenc.

Have you performed any of the aforementioned instructions? How often do you do water changes, how large is he, tank size, what is the ammonia level, pH level and temperature. All I can recommend is to do more water changes without any more information.

Well my 17'' TSN died today, his illness came on very strong and rapid this morning his face was all white and red tail completely white and back half of the body was white with small holes?? I did a 80% water change, nitrates still between 40-80ppm I don't get it, I have 2 AC110's and have a DIY over the tank wet/dry filter made from a rubbermaid bin, is ther too much bacteria in ther wet/dry? please help.
