Sick zz Flowerhorn

fed fish opai then a few days later he stopped eating. He began having white stools. Since then I put him in a 10 gal and treated him with parasite meds and now looks like his anal area blew out and stuff is hanging out. Anyone know what he has and what to treat with? Thanks

He has hexima or an infection that is close to it.. I would suggest you try Flowerhorn forums like FHcraze or flowerhorns are us, for help in treatment with diseases. The people there can help you treat the flowerhorn before it is too late.

Metro / Flagyl is often used along with water changes and salt to treat this problem...

just change the water every other day and don't feed him for a week. try also AZOO MAGIC DISEASE AWAY.

Hex is nasty if left unatteded. It can and will cause Duck Lips, first stage of Hole in Head in some cases. Metro and salt as well as temp in the 82-86 deg range with 50% water changes daily and repeated treatment unti conditions impove. Try feeding after 2 days, small amount, if not eaten remove and try next day. Do not cross contaminate your other tanks with nets ect.
