I bought a pair of threadfin acara about 8 months ago. They were about 4 inches, one was bigger and had 2 inch trailers, and lots of color. The other was just a little smaller with no trailers at all but still lots of color. Now the smaller one doubled in size grew real nice trailers and looks awesome. But the one that was bigger looks sickly, hasn't grown since i bought him, much at least. Color has faded a little and his trailers look limp and dull.. still eats and breaths fine just looks sickly. and over the past maybe month he developed what looks like bloody nose. at first i just thought it was a female and maybe slightly duller and naturally smaller... but with the nose i think something is going on. Everything else in my tank is doing great... my two younger threadfins are growing like weeds and looking vibrant as can be. Sorry about the photos cell phone..

not loosing weight.. still actively eats, and swims around.. his color is a lot duller than the rest. his "threadfins" are a dull red and not as erect as the rest of the pack. hasn't grown in 8 months. the rest of them are getting more vibrant with age, like a geo does, but he is not. but most concerning is the blood that seems to be inside his nose on both sides (as somewhat shown in picture)
