Hey guys!

Just wondering whether it is better to leave a small lamp light or some sort near tank at night? or is it OK to have the whole room pitchblack?

I have 1 4-5 inch silver aro, 2 2-3 inch dats in this tank.
(my other tank has a small light on in the room)

For the Aro a nightlight would be nice. Seems to keep them calmer at night and not be so jumpy.

The tank is a new setup and a growout for these 3 guys, been in for 1 day.

Will the nightlight help them get use to tank lights on in day? and settle in?

It will help the aro be a bit calmer, but will it affect it and dats normally in daytime? (settle in easier?)

Thanks,
Swarsh

I wouldn't use a lamp. I'd just get one of those small blue 1/2 or 1 watt LEDs.

I have to have a night light on so it's harder for my rtc to eat my other fish, u jus never know wat might be missing in the morning, I have no choice atm, recently got some p bass which were smaller than I was expecting so for me it's for their safety till they are big enough.
I'd rather be safe than sorry after beingburned before
