What's your experience with sieve filters and Panaque sawdust? Do they handle it well and remove it from the system without clogging and draining too much water from the tank?
I am thinking of adding a couple sieve filters as pre filters to my sump, getting fed by the overflow and feeding the sump. I am thinking that if they work well, they would prevent sawdust from reaching the other filter materials and keep the filter socks nice and clean for at least a week or two instead of clogging in a day.
What do you think? Have you used these self cleaning filters?
