Signs if the cloud heals?

Seems that no one replies to my other thread regarding cloudy eyes so I'll just start another to hopefully catch some attention and some replies as well.

So I've done a 45% wc this morning, put medications and salt, and waited for hours. As I looked into the tank 12 hours later, I can see that there are white substances coming out from the eyes of my aro. I'm just wondering if this will lead into healing or something worst to come?..

You gotta be kidding me White stuff coming out of the eys sounds nothing like it's healing or nowhere near normal.

Unfortunately, I don't know what to tell you. The cloudy eyes on my fish that I've experience have always cleared by using a mix of 50% daily water changes and treating with both melafix and pimafix on a daily basis. What you have described seems to be a little more then just cloudy eye.

yea it seems like fungus is growing around your aros eye which can be very bad :/

sorry never had <fingers crossed> and hopefully never will have cloudy eye on my aro.

actually, the only time i ever had cloudy eye on arapaima was due to moving him. It cleared up by itself without any intervention

PS: would not be too worried if the fish is still eating. just keep the water salted and clean

Oh well, I show the pic to the LFS owner today and told me that it was a led but after a short discussion of the problem we conclude that the sickness is a cataract. He said that cloudy eyes supposed to heal inside but since it's somewhat going out then he said that it is an eye cataract... I don't know what will happened next... maybe he'll be blind, die or live with his other eye blind... I just hope that it will heal.... Since it's my 1st to reach 9 months....

The water seems fine to me and I put about 5 spoons of rock salt every other day and 1-2 spoons of medication everyday, do 25-50% wc every 3 days. I only use "rid all special arowana" as my medicine, since they don't want to sell melafix anymore since they're already used to that medicine....

So anybody know anything about fish eye cataract?
