Signs of firemouth breeding?

A month or two back i purchased 3 small firemouths. tehy are like 2.5" now and 2 are always showing their colors and they've been like swimming side by side one facing one way and the other faceing opposite and they will spin in circles at the same time kind of are they to small for breeding or are they just playing around

I always took that circling eachother and goign side by side to shake as courting but it turns out they are just fighting; because although I see that behavior alot with them they never pair up to breed. They are just marking turf and displaying their colors to claim dominance.

ohh kinda weird none of my fish have any missing fins or bites (this is a first) heh thx

Sounds like you have 2 males and one female. The males will do this display, as stated, to assert dominance over an area and hope to lure the female to them.
Good luck though, nice fish to breed!
